“The school food sucks”

There are two types of people in this world. There are the people who complain and don’t do anything about it. And then, there are those who try to understand why that problem exists and potentially find solutions to that problem.

The world is the way it is right now because someone in the past made the decision for it to be this way. What you are looking at right now in front of you and what you are surrounded by right now are the sum of thousands of people’s decisions.

Think of Bill Gates, Steve Jobs, Walt Disney, Benjamin Franklin, Henry Ford, Elon Musk, and anyone else you think that has achieved some amount of success in their life. What makes them different from you? The answer is pretty simple. They took initiative to understand a problem. They took initiative to find a solution.

At no point were their lives easier than yours. They didn’t just happen to get lucky one day without their decisions leading up to their success. What they did every single day was take initiative. They took initiative to solve the problems while everyone else around them was busy complaining. They chose to work towards a solution while everyone else was busy caring about stuff that doesn’t matter. That’s what makes them different from you. That’s what makes them different from any other average person.

What you need to start doing now is to realize the problems behind the problem. Understand why the proposed solution was the best solution at the current point in time. By understanding this, you can hit on the actual problem that needs solving or you will realize why the current solution is in place right now.

At this point, you need to decide who you are. On one hand, you can decide to complain about that problem, just like everyone else. Or you can choose to find a solution and implement it, making you one of the people whose decision will change the lives of everyone in the future.

So go ahead, make the decision.
